Sophie was a receptionist at the Linton Travel Tavern. She worked the front desk with Susan, and was in a relationship with waitor/handyman Ben.
Personality and relationship to Alan Partridge[]
Whereas Susan brushed off Alan Partridge's antics and humiliating faux pas with a smile, Sophie was unable to control her laughter at Alan's appalling lack of social skills, and often had to leave reception to prevent herself from laughing in his face. Alan was disdainful of Sophie and her relationship with Ben, and occasionally realised that she was mocking him due to her unsubtlety.
